Senior Planner required for a major offshore wind developer based in England
Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating and maintaining/updating multiple package schedules using Primavera P6.
- Providing project planning support and attend weekly meetings with the Work Package Managers.
- Monthly Schedule updates and ad hoc reviews to generate the best possible forecasts for the leadership team.
- Advise on planning strategy and principles during schedules reviews.
- Co-ordinate / Interface between work packages and inform the planning team of any potential disconnects / actions.
- Update the weekly planning data in the Weekly Work Package Meeting and ensure actions / changes are captured in the live Primavera P6 the Schedule.
- Supporting the Planning Team and Management Team in day-to-day planning activities within an allocated scope.
- On a monthly basis contribution to the integrated/PLT monthly report (Planning Slides, Milestone Tracker, Level 1 Schedule, programme pressure analysis) and provide solutions to reporting planning details.
- Develop “what-if” scenario planning to inform project decisions
- Ad hoc support planning matters cross the packages within the windfarm when required
Requirements
- A self-motivated individual with a can do attitude. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience of working in multicultural / discipline projects.
- Excellent understanding of Planning Management / Control / Engineering on large projects from Development through to Construction.
- Ideally with a background in Offshore Wind with Generation focus, including Transport & Installation / SIMOPS mapping.
- Ideal candidate would have experience of;
- Wait of Weather management and integration of different scenarios
- Scenario modelling and meeting facilitation
- Mobilisation Window mechanism modelling
- Quayside utilisation, including storage/marshalling/handling
- Sequence modelling to determine float and critical paths.
- Weather Downtime software
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
- 8-10+ years’ experience in project planning and a strong knowledge of project controls disciplines, fundamental practices, and reporting.
- Occasional site visits (UK) may be required to work with contractors to identify project scope, negotiate and establish packages’ baseline programme and progress programme updates.
