Perform Quality inspections in accordance with Clients requirements which are updated as the project progresses. Entry of inspection findings, pictures, and descriptions of non-conformities to Clients database using a company provided iPad.
Where defined within the ITPs, inspections will be accompanied with end-client inspectors. Additional tasks will include managing the dataflow between the various departments within Client using the inspection information and coordinating with other Client contractors on-site to gain access to components for inspection and improve/enhance rectification happening in the marshalling harbor. Rain, heat, working at heights, and other adverse conditions will be encountered when performing inspections.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with quality requirements through inspection, incoming goods control, and quality walk-downs. You will participate in and contribute to improvement initiatives and Lessons Learned on internal quality-related activities
- Plan and conduct inspections. Ensure coordination in collaboration with the construction team to satisfy customer requirements
- Record, analyze, identify solutions for non-conformities
- Review and ensure quality documents are properly recorded
- Promote positive Quality culture on site across all the operational disciplines
- Collate material certification and control of certificates, handovers, documents etc.
- Participate in audits in accordance with Quality specifications and requirements
- Ensure a detailed follow-up of all Quality issues and customer complaints
- Apply specialized Quality systems, equipment, tools and methods
- Work alongside Health & Safety to ensure compliance targets are met
Qualifications
- A technical/engineering (mechanical or electrical) education and qualification
- 1 years of experience in a site inspector position working within a quality engineering, quality assurance, or Quality Control organization.
- Experience with site safety and quality standards as well as good understanding of the ISO9001 and ISO14001 international standards (ideally implemented in project/construction/assembly environment)
- Have the basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology
- Is able to make a daily commute to the job site
Preferred:
- 3 years of experience in a site inspector position working within a quality engineering, quality assurance, or Quality Control organization.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of construction site incoming inspections of components
- GWO BST trained valid for at least 1 year
- IRATA or OSHA working at heights
