Project Origination Manager- Distributed Generation
Project Origination (Distributed Generation) position working for a pioneering developer of floating solar as part of a fast-growing team of industry experts which is expanding aggressively following major investment. This is a full-time, remote position with travel (must be US-based).
Role
Working closely with the Director of Origination, this position will play a key role in early-stage business development activities for distributed generation projects.
- Learn the company’s site selection parameters and development approach.
- Source new project sites using direct mailers and cold calls.
- Evaluate potential sites.
- Build and preserve relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Travel to face-to-face meetings as required.
- Understand and represent the company’s values and business strategy.
- Work in collaboration with project developers.
Requirements
- Relevant project origination/business development experience in renewable energy.
- Effective cold calling and email outreach skills.
- Solid knowledge of general renewable energy development, and willingness to learn about the specifics of floating solar.
- Highly driven and capable of working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
