Investment Manager – Renewable Energy

Company Overview:
We are working with a prominent renewable energy platform specializing in the development of solar and battery projects across Asia. Their portfolio includes some of Asia’s largest utility-scale projects in Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, and they are dedicated to pioneering the energy transition.
Role Overview:
As an Investment Manager, you will lead the financial modeling, due diligence, and some M&A processes for large-scale renewable energy projects. You will play a key role in evaluating investments, assessing risks, and contributing to negotiations and strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Modeling: Lead the creation and upkeep of detailed financial models for both early and late-stage renewable projects. Provide insights that support key business decisions.
- Due Diligence: Oversee the financial evaluation and risk analysis during project financing, collaborating with various teams to gather and analyze key data.
- M&A Transactions: Manage the financial workstreams for M&A activities, including evaluating investment opportunities, conducting tax and financial due diligence, and coordinating deal negotiations and structuring.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present financial reports, highlighting performance metrics and trends to inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure investments, with a focus on renewable energy projects at the asset level.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling and due diligence within the Japanese renewable energy sector. Experience in the domestic infrastructure or real estate fields will be considered.
