Country Head, Taiwan

A great opportunity to work in an offshore wind developer to run the operation as Country Head of Taiwan.

The Role

  • Represent for the asset externally and managing the relationship with key stakeholders, including various levels of the Taiwanese government and local stakeholders.
  • Fulfilling all reporting and compliance obligations in the operational phase in accordance with the government’s requirements and in line with any Power Purchase Agreements and other operational guidelines.
  • Managing the communications to the Board, Directors and shareholder representatives in Board meetings, shareholders meetings etc.
  • Acting in the interest of and on behalf of the shareholders in accordance with the Delegation of Authority.
  • Fulfilling all reporting and compliance obligations in the operational phase in accordance with the Shareholders Agreement and the loan agreements with the project lenders.
  • Leading the operations organisation and ensuring adequate performance.
  • Ensuring overall asset integrity and contractual obligations being fulfilled by the contractors and service providers.
  • Ensuring adequate performance delivered by the third-party operations service providers under the Operations Management Agreement and managing the relationship with service supply chain.

The Requirements

  • Extensive experience in the management of large infrastructure operations, ideally in a commercial operations background in offshore wind or a related industry sector.
  • Exceptional leadership, operational and commercial management skills to lead multicultural, dynamic, fast-paced, and complex international joint ventures.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences at all levels
  • Strong analytically and communication skills, with proven experience in making decisions in the best interest of the shareholders.
  • Ability to identify and manage risk and prioritise without losing sight of strategic plans and priorities.
  • Strong financial, commercial and contract management experiences.
  • Ability to be frequently based in Taichung.
  • Languages – fluent in Taiwanese Mandarin and English.
