Cable System Engineer required for a major offshore wind developer based in Scotland
Responsibilities.
- Technical input in support of Offshore Export cable selection and refinement.
- Co-ordination of cable route survey scopes and assessment of cable burial risk / opportunities across proposed routes.
- Development of Inter-Array cable layouts and optimisation.
- Provide definition of cable installation methodologies in support of project consenting inputs.
- Assessment of cable rating constraints along both onshore and offshore Export Cable corridors.
- Development of execution strategy for both Export and Inter-Array cables and development of project programme.
- Support in engagement with supply chain, ensuring project strategy aligns with market expectations.
Requirements
- FEED stage into design, ideally in HVDC.
- Electrically design biased rather than installation manger experience.
- Candidate will need to be knowledgeable in ratings calculations, earthing considerations and Electrical calculations rather than burial tool assessments.
