Our QA/QC and On-Site Fabrication Services

In 2022, a major offshore wind joint venture headquartered in Madrid appointed Taylor Hopkinson sole supplier of QA/QC surveillance services for all of its major components. With fabrication handled by an offshore heavy industry supplier, this included XXL monopile foundations, IAC/export cables, OSS and WTGs at fabrication yards and factories across China, Europe, the Middle East, and the US.

As well as delivering the entire site-based fabrication team, our scope of works in China included turnkey global mobility services. We coordinated the issue of all necessary visas, managed payroll, ensured all taxes were paid, arranged meet and greet sessions with contractors, and booked accommodation and daily transfers. Taylor Hopkinson has been a preferred supplier to an Australian global green investment group for offshore wind projects since 2017, working on office-based, site-based and offshore positions.

Since then, we have delivered over 90 local and ex-pat project personnel across all packages, ranging from office staff in Taipei, site staff at factories and fabrication yards, and personnel along the onshore cable route and across Asia, including Indonesia, South Korea and Vietnam. We also placed candidates in roles ranging from UXO Surveyors to HSE Advisors.
Our turnkey global mobility service took care of all necessary work permits and visas, marine air fares and quarantine hotels, while we also supported multiple international relocations and mobilisation of contractors to Taiwan, Indonesia and South Korea.

In 2022 Taylor Hopkinson was awarded a scope of service contract by an international offshore wind joint venture to perform QA/QC surveillance services for all fabrication works carried out at yards and facilities located in France, Spain, Belgium, Poland, China and South Korea.

To support the delivery of its two French offshore wind projects, we are delivering the full range of on-site inspection specialists, from welding, NDT, coating, electrical & instrumentation to cable, materials and mechanical, as well as placing Lead Auditors and Site QC Managers. As part of our scope, we’re also providing our world-leading global mobility and compliant payroll and employment solutions across Europe, China and South Korea. We manage visas, work permits, taxation and a range of tailored in-country support services to ensure the smooth transition of personnel and a hassle-free service to our client.
