WTG Inspector

Our client requires 3 to 4 WTG component Surveillance Inspectors to cover (Blades, Nacelle, Tower) and would consider any inspectors who have experience across all 3 fields. This role will be based fully on site therefore the inspectors must have EU working rights. The manufacturing will be carried out below: Blades - Italy / Denmark Towers - Denmark Nacelles - Poland Pre-assembly will begin Q1 2025 Installation - will be carried out late 2025/early 2026

Our client requires 4 WTG Inspectors for a major project across various locations in Europe

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed visual and technical inspections of wind turbine generators, blades, nacelles, and other related equipment.
  • Inspect mechanical, electrical, and control systems for proper functioning, identifying potential malfunctions or safety hazards.
  • Check for any corrosion, damage, or wear to components, including the tower, blades, nacelle, yaw system, and gearbox.
  • Conduct testing of turbines under normal and extreme operating conditions to ensure optimal performance.
  • Use specialised instruments to monitor parameters such as vibration, temperature, and noise levels.
  • Perform dynamic testing on blade pitch systems and brake systems to ensure they meet safety standards.
  • Identify maintenance needs and report any major issues to the maintenance team.
  • Assist with routine maintenance and repair procedures when required.
  • Coordinate with technicians for component replacements or major repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and maintenance performed on each turbine.
  • Document any issues or faults found during inspections and provide detailed reports to management or relevant teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and ensure the safe operation of all wind turbine inspection processes.
  • Ensure that work is performed in compliance with national and international wind turbine standards, including environmental regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards during inspections.
  • Work with other engineers, technicians, and field personnel to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of wind turbine systems.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input on operational improvements and turbine performance.
  • Diagnose problems and recommend solutions related to turbine performance issues.
  • Utilise diagnostic tools and technical knowledge to resolve issues as quickly as possible to minimise downtime.
  • Keep up to date with the latest technologies, equipment, and standards in wind turbine operations.
  • Participate in training sessions to expand knowledge and improve inspection techniques.

The manufacturing will be carried in the following locations:

  • Blades – Italy / Denmark
  • Towers – Denmark
  • Nacelles – Poland

Requirements:

  • EU working rights.
  • 5 years prior experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in wind turbine inspection, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with turbine systems such as Siemens, GE, Vestas, or other brands is advantageous.
