Solar O&M Engineer Singapore

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operations and maintenance activities across multiple solar PV sites in Singapore, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
  • Monitor system alarms and respond promptly to faults or anomalies, liaising with maintenance teams and contractors to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Schedule and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities in collaboration with O&M contractors and clients.
  • Track and supervise ongoing maintenance work, ensuring adherence to project timeline and quality standards.
  • Lead discussions and coordinate with clients, contractors, grid operators, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and resolve issues.
  • Support the testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of solar PV systems, working closely with installation teams.
  • Promote strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines across all operational sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field, with min 4 years of experience in solar PV operations and maintenance preferred.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, solar monitoring platforms (SCADA), interpreting electrical drawings, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards, renewable energy principles, and HSE guidelines, with a strong commitment to upholding safety protocols.
  • Willingness to work outdoors, perform regular site visits within Singapore, and respond to emergencies during weekends when necessary.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to promptly resolve issues and effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Proactive in identifying and addressing operational challenges, with high ethical standards and a results-driven approach
