Business Development Manager

Opportunity for a talented and competitive Business Development Manager that thrives in a small, but modern sales environment. This is a full-time, permanent position ideally based in Houston. Remote set-ups can be required for a suitable candidate (strong preference for East Coast or Central US location).

They are therefore seeking a Business Development Manager to ensure a strong sales performance in US & Latin America.

This position is primarily responsible for identifying and securing revenue opportunities

for an Operations and Asset Management solution for the utility-sized renewables market.

This includes both sales of existing software solutions and services and managing existing client relationships. The main duties will be to drive and develop sales and business opportunities and

drive these to closing. Follow through on projects will be required including identifying and developing additional business opportunities.

Role

  • Sales of Operations and Asset Management Platform, primary target area is the United States with LATAM as secondary.
  • Set and deliver on sales targets
  • Work closely with the product management team to identify new areas for expansion and/or enhancement of the product capabilities
  • Preparation of quotations in collaboration with corporate technical team
  • Participation in conferences and tradeshows; plan and execute
  • Participating in business development, hereunder establishment of business partnerships
  • Market domain: Renewables, specifically solar PV
  • Core product category: Operations & Maintenance, technical asset management

Requirements

Experience:

  • Significant relevant sales experience of software solution within the target market segment- utility-scale solar PV
  • Strong track record of identifying and closing sales opportunities
  • Understanding and ability to navigate in complex sales processes
  • Deep understanding of the market domain and core product and market category (Asset
  • management solutions for solar PV), but also adjacent asset categories (wind, battery, hydro
  • power, Power-to-X, etc)
  • Extensive network within target market; i.e. independent power producers, O&M and asset management service providers, EPCs

Skills:

  • Client focus, empathic, understand the client’s needs and the client value of product offerings
  • Preferably technical knowledge within the product category. Ability to communicate on all levels in client’s organization with technical experts and & C-level
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Team player, with strong interpersonal skills and commercial mindset
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Team collaboration with corporate sales and marketing team product management and operations.
  • Travel will be required as necessary to follow-up on prospects, 30% travel time should be expected
